Oven-Dried Mechanical Tablet Salt
Oven-dried mechanical tablet salt is a water softening product based on dried salt and pressed mechanically. Positioned between mechanical tablets and refined PDV tablets, it is considered for applications where a drier raw material form is preferred. Compatibility with the softener and suitability for use are determined from the product's technical properties and the operating conditions.

Use in the softener
Tablets are loaded into the softener's brine tank. Keep the salt level above the water level so that enough brine forms for regeneration. Not mixing different salt types in the same tank and cleaning the tank at the intervals recommended by the equipment manufacturer reduces the risk of bridging and sediment.

Storage
Store tablets in a dry, covered area without direct contact with the floor. Tablets kept in humid conditions can stick together and bridge in the brine tank; this is largely a matter of storage conditions.

Frequently asked questions
Are oven-dried mechanical tablets and PDV tablets the same product?
No. The tablet form may look similar, but the way the raw material is processed and the analysis properties can differ.
Are salt tablets chlorine tablets?
No. Salt tablets used for water softening are sodium chloride for resin regeneration. They are not the chlorine tablets used to disinfect pools.
